Digital transformation: Dreams and reality agenda

Darren Topham is a Senior Research Director with Gartner’s office of the CIO Research team. Mr. Topham’s primary areas of focus and research include innovation strategies and scaling, Executive Leadership and digital business transformation Strategies. He also has considerable experience in helping CIOs and IT leaders to better communicate and engage with their wider business organization and in facilitating IT’s transition from back-office supplier to a valuable and trusted business partner.

• Václav has over 30 years of experience in IT across various industries and markets. He worked at vendor side on complex solutions and critical systems, headed key IT departments and operations in large international enterprises as CIO and COO.
• He started his career as programmer and analyst and in early 90s joined Delloite as Senior Manager in consulting with responsibility for re-engineering projects, strategies and implementations of information systems. He acted as CIO at T-Mobile (RadioMobil) with responsibility for developing its IT backbone for Czech Republic.
• In late 90s he joined Logica as Telecoms Director for CEE market and in 2000 took over as regional Director of consulting for Asia.
• Between 2003 and 2008 Václav acted as CIO and COO of Home Credit in Russia and China with responsibility for group IT strategy and operations. He joined ING Bank as CIO in 2011 and acted as CIO of ČEZ from 2012 until end 2013 with goal of process and IT operations stabilization.

• Radek has over 30 years of experience in IT and technology product development in various industries and markets. He led IT and product development departments in large enterprises.
• He started his career in IT operations center and followed as developer in hospital Na Homolce. He also worked on vendor side developing and providing hospital information system to the clients.
• In late 90s he joined T-Mobile Czech Republic as a leader of application development.
• In 2008 he started to lead technology product development in T-Mobile and followed as IT Director of T-Mobile from 2012. From 2016 he consolidated IT development and application operation of T-Mobile and Slovak Telekom.
• From 2018 he was group CIO and later group CTO in EuroWAG group responsible for group IT strategy, group IT and group delivery of products. He was also a member of supervisory board in Sygic.

• Lukáš has more than 20 years of professional IT and tech writing, consulting and publishing background. After focusing mainly on hardware and technology, he moved to areas of information systems, enterprise IT and IT/business strategy and alignment  in 2006.
• Following two years at the helm of INISDE he took also responsibilities in area of KPC-Group client support –  as Vendor Executive Manager, Lukáš is helping CEOs, CTOs and other executives or directors of local ICT and tech vendors to maximize value of their investment in Gartner in areas like product and service innovation and strategy.
